ASHA FOR SHIKSHA is a social Organisation, started to bring a positive change in the lives of the underprivileged children, their families and communities in India. Our volunteers do this through well planned and comprehensive programmes in health, education, livelihoods and disaster preparedness and response. We are dedicated to ensure that, they get their rights and are treated equally by the society. ASHA FOR SHIKSHA operates as MAA ASHA EDUCATIONAL AND WELFARE SOCIETY Registration number 06/12/03/13559/20 under MP Societies Registration Act 1973/44.We partner with local volunteers in grass root level and civil society groups and platforms and work on the issues of Natural resources, Democracy and governance, Women and girls’ rights, promoting peace, justice and secularism and solidarity beyond boundaries.
Asha for Shiksha’s single minded focus is in primary education to rural to rural out of school girls in the 6-14 years age group.
The objective of our organisation is to provide high quality primary education to these girls and then mainstream them firmly in upper primary education. All this will be done through active participation of the parents and community members. A large number of girls, especially from SC,ST and other backward communities who are not getting their rightful place in primary education, will be benefitted.
