Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one’s rights – and in the process help him/her evolve as a better citizen.
Doubtless, education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. But child education cannot be done in isolation. A child will go to school only if the family, particularly the mother, is assured of healthcare and empowered. Moreover, when an elder sibling is relevantly skilled to be employable and begins earning, the journey of empowerment continues beyond the present generation.
Asha for Shiksha has been working in the thematic areas of education, healthcare, youth employability and empowerment of women and girls and in emergency time.
Our missionis to provide high quality primary education to the girls and then mainstream them firmly in upper primary education. All this will be done through active participation of the parents and the community member’s .A large number of girls, especially from SC, ST and other backward communities who are not getting their rightful place in primary education, will be benefited.
A just, enlightened healthy and democratic country free from hunger, poverty, environmental degradation and all forms of exploitation irrespective of age, sex, religion and ethnicity and equal access to EDUCATION for all.

Abhay age 24 years, a son of small private firm employee like a most Indian families of 5 members was in stress, as he met with an road accident two years back.The combined health challenges and the family’s poor financial condition troubled Abhay’s treatment.We reached out to him through our support centre and intiated treatment .Knowing his financial condition our volunteers linked him with one of the best hospital for his treatment . Currently he is hopeful and confident about his future as he is living a healthy life with challeges.He participates proactively with us to help ensure a stable life for others living.
